Job Summary
In this role you will be responsible for accurate planning of Equipments, Fuel and Transport for all Tesco DCs in the UK to ensure Distribution Network is efficient and stock reach the store on time. Fulfiment Planning Sr. Associate will play a pivotal role in optimizing complex equipment, fuel and transport process to ensure cost benefits, waste elimination through high level of resilience and responsiveness.
I'm accountable for:
- Understands business needs and in depth understanding of Tesco Distribution and Fulfilment processes
- Builds on Tesco processes and knowledge by applying CI tools and techniques.
- Responsible for completing tasks and transactions within agreed KPIs for self and sub ordinates
- Responsible for creating, quality checking and signing off the daily transport, fuel and equipments plans for all Tesco Petrol Filling Stations (PFS) and Distribution Centres in the UK.
- Mentor team members and foster continuous learning and development. Establish adherence and stay up to date with Business
- Develop, monitor and adjust planning parameters to improve planning systems and supply chain network
- Analyze store sales, stock inventory and historic events to plan transport for best outcome of resource planning in the DC to deliver stock to stores on time. Manage trunking and Internal Warehouse transfers between DCs for smooth movement of stock.
- Maintain all equipment types used within the distribution network to ensure depots and suppliers have the right equipment all the time through effective forecasting and solutions
- Work closely with Commercial teams to facilitate the increased use of trays and other loose equipment within all UK DCs
- Solve complex problems related to equipment, transport and fuel planning processes, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions for better cost and budget management
- Collaborate with the national planning, suppliers and transport planning teams to align equipment, resource and fuel requirements to optimize routes, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Safeguard company assets and maintain trust with stakeholders by implementing robust internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify process gaps and develop mitigation plans to address potential risks and improve overall effectiveness.
