Job Title : Electrical Engineer for FIBE (Facilities Infrastructure Building Engineering)

Experience : 8 to 15 years

Location : Thiruvallur

Notice Period : Immediate to 30 days

Purpose of the Role

1) Lead end-to-end Electrical and Mechanical related facility infrastructure projects for IAP region plants, from user requirement study, concept design, cost estimation and RFQ preparation through site execution, commissioning and handover.

2) Prepare and review technically compliant, cost-effective design proposals for electrical systems and associated mechanical/building utility services, aligned with applicable engineering, safety, statutory and CEIG requirements.

3) Convert user requirements into layouts, single line diagrams, load calculations, technical specifications, BOQ, RFI/RFQ packages, tender scope and budget estimates for management approval.

4) Perform technical alignment with suppliers, consultants, user teams, maintenance, safety and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure design feasibility, constructability and lifecycle maintainability.

5) Independently manage execution in running plant conditions by controlling safety, quality, schedule, cost, shutdown planning, interface coordination and supplier performance.

6) Ensure testing, commissioning, statutory documentation, as-built drawings, O&M; manuals, punch-list closure and structured handover to safety, user and maintenance teams.

Electrical design knowledge: HT/LT power distribution, transformer/DG/UPS interface, PCC/MCC/MLDB/DB panels, APFC, metering, power quality, lighting and emergency power concepts.

Electrical execution knowledge: cable tray/conduit installation, cable laying and termination, panel installation, gland/termination quality, earthing network continuity and site testing practices.

Hands-on experience in industrial projects, preferably brownfield/running plant projects in automotive/manufacturing facilities.

Ability to interpret user requirements and convert them into technically sound, economical and secure engineering proposals.

Hands-on experience in electrical system design coordination including load calculation, panel/cable sizing inputs, cable trays, earthing and lighting systems

Knowledge of FPS, BMS, fire alarm, EHS and statutory approval interfaces for facility infrastructure projects.

Knowledge of Current market-rate awareness for major M&E; items, realistic quantity validation and cost optimization mindset.

Ability to conduct supplier alignment meetings, review technical submissions and drive technical/commercial clarifications.

Solid project management capability covering planning, safety, quality, cost, schedule, reporting, commissioning and handover.

Hands-on experience in project management, either on the client side or consultant side
