The Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for securing and managing websites and web applications while supporting the organization s overall cybersecurity operations. The role involves vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response, security assessments, and implementation of cybersecurity controls. The position also supports network and endpoint security, access management, and compliance activities to identify and mitigate security risks and protect organizational systems and data.

Duties Responsibilities

- - Monitor security alerts, logs, and events.
- Identify threats and vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents.
- Coordinate remediation activities.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing.
- Implement and maintain security controls.
- Perform security assessments, risk analysis, and compliance checks.
- Manage endpoint security, firewalls, antivirus/EDR, and other security solutions.
- Assist with access control, identity management, and privileged-access reviews.
- Maintain security documentation and incident reports.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats.
- Collaborate with IT teams to improve the organizations security posture.

Education Training

- - 2+ years of cybersecurity experience.
- Experience securing websites and web applications.
- Knowledge of network and endpoint security.
- Vulnerability management and incident-response experience.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, or IDS/IPS.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, firewalls, and network protocols.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux security.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and common cybersecurity threats.
- Basic knowledge of IAM, MFA, encryption, and security best practices.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Preferred certifications: Security+, CEH, CySA+, or equivalent.
- Azure/AWS security knowledge is an advantage.
