Job Purpose

Lead inbound logistics operations to ensure uninterrupted material availability, high OTIF performance, cost optimization, vendor development, logistics contracting, scrap sales, and MIS reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inbound Logistics Management

- Ensure high inbound OTIF and uninterrupted production.
- Monitor receipt, storage, and movement of materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and logistics partners.

2. Cost Management & Logistics Planning

- Optimize inbound logistics costs for domestic, import, and project purchases.
- Negotiate with CHA, CFS, shipping lines, and transporters.
- Support logistics contracts and commercial negotiations.

3. Material Delivery & Coordination

- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
- Track shipments and resolve logistics issues proactively.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for smooth material flow.

4. Vendor Development & Relationship Management





- Develop and evaluate logistics service providers.
- Build robust relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Ensure service quality and continuous vendor performance improvement.

5. Continuous Improvement

- Implement best practices in material clearance and logistics operations.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels.
- Monitor logistics KPIs and corrective actions.

6. Systems, Sustainability & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with IMS, OpEx, and Sustainability systems.
- Drive digitization, process standardization, and data accuracy.
- Support sustainability and business excellence initiatives.

7. MIS & Reporting

- Prepare and analyze logistics MIS reports.
- Monitor logistics costs, OTIF performance, and operational metrics.
- Provide actionable insights for management review.
