Job Summary

Looking for engineers who take pride in building robust, predictable and thoughtfully designed systems, and who understand that in financial systems, small mistakes can have large consequences. Prior experience in fintech or in systems involving payments, transactions, or financial workflows is strongly preferred. We also look for robust engineering fundamentals, high attention to detail, and the ability to operate in environments where correctness and reliability are critical.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain backend systems that power core WazirX products
- Write production-grade code with a strong emphasis on correctness, edge cases, and failure handling
- Own features end-to-end, from design and implementation to testing, deployment and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with product, QA, infra, and security teams to ensure reliable releases
- Review code with a focus on long-term maintainability and risk reduction




- Proactively identify and mitigate potential issues before they impact users or funds

Requirements

- Strong backend engineering expertise in at least one modern programming language
- Experience with MySQL and database systems, including relational and non-relational databases
- Hands-on experience with Docker
- Experience with Golang is an added bonus
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and experience with production deployments is a plus
- Experience writing and maintaining test cases for backend systems and APIs
- Experience in threat modeling and security architecture design and review

Nice to Have

- Experience in fintech, technology, or platform businesses
