Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who not only analyzes data but proactively owns how our metrics perform - surfacing whats working, flagging what isnt, and recommending action before anyone has to ask. You will set the standard for analytics across the company, build automation that scales, mentor junior analysts, and act as a trusted partner to product, growth, compliance, and engineering teams. Given the sensitive, financial nature of our data, you will also champion responsible handling of PII and data security in everything you build.
Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor and report on how key product, trading, and growth metrics are performing - owning a regular metrics review cadence and raising insights, anomalies, and opportunities without being prompted.
- Define and maintain the metrics frameworks, definitions, and reporting standards used across the company to ensure a single source of truth.
- Build and own automation in Python to eliminate manual reporting and streamline recurring data workflows.
- Write and optimize complex SQL across Redshift and MySQL to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports in BI tools (e.g., Metabase, Looker, or Tableau) and advanced Google Sheets / Excel models.
- Instrument, validate, and analyze product and marketing events across Mixpanel and Google Analytics.
- Partner with product and growth teams to design experiments (A/B tests), measure impact, and translate ambiguous business questions into transparent, actionable analyses.
- Champion data security and responsible handling of PII and sensitive financial data - enforcing access controls, masking/anonymization, and compliance-aware practices.
- Mentor junior analysts and raise the analytical capability of the wider team.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in data/business analytics, including a track record of proactively driving insights and owning metrics.
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
- Expert-level SQL, with hands-on experience across Redshift and MySQL.
- Strong Python skills for writing and maintaining automation and data pipelines (pandas, scripting, scheduled jobs).
- Mastery of Google Sheets and Excel for advanced modeling, reporting, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with product/web analytics tools - Mixpanel and Google Analytics.
- Proficiency with at least one BI/visualization tool (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or similar).
- Solid understanding of data security and PII - access control, data masking/anonymization, and handling sensitive financial data responsibly.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, technology, or platform businesses.
