Role & responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall site operations and end-to-end execution of the assigned construction project.
- Plan, schedule, monitor, and control project activities to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Ensure project execution within approved budget, timeline, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and ensure execution as per approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
- Plan and arrange manpower, materials, plant, machinery, and specialized agencies as per project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and take corrective actions to achieve project milestones.
- Manage project costs, resource utilization, variations, and cost-control measures, including value engineering.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, statutory requirements, HSE policies, and company procedures.
- Coordinate with Legal and Liaison teams to ensure required approvals and permissions are in place.
- Manage and supervise project/site teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and develop team members to improve productivity and performance.
- Prepare and review project progress reports, MIS, schedules, and management updates.
- Resolve site-level technical, operational,
and coordination issues effectively.
- Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders and protect the company's reputation.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering / Construction Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction project management and site operations.
- Strong experience in end-to-end project execution and construction management.
- Proven ability to manage projects within budget, schedule, quality, and safety parameters.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, architectural/structural drawings, and project specifications.
- Good understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control, resource management, and contractor management.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, subcontract agreements, terms & conditions, and project documentation.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Good knowledge of quality management, HSE, statutory compliance, and construction safety practices.
- Robust leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent communication and team-management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, MS Project / Primavera will be an added advantage.
- Candidates who have handled large-scale construction projects independently will be preferred.
