Role & responsibilities

- Concept Development: Collaborate with the product development team to conceptualize new furniture design that meet market demands and aesthetic requirements.
- • 3D Modeling: Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings of furniture pieces, ensuring all designs are functional, manufacturable, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Prototyping: Work closely with the manufacturing team to develop prototypes, testing designs for functionality, durability, and ease of assembly.
- • Material Selection: Research and select appropriate materials that meet design specifications, cost constraints, and sustainability goals.
- Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints while coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assessments and improvements throughout the design and manufacturing processes to maintain high standards.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, gather feedback, and present design solutions.
- Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging materials, and technologies to inform design decisions and enhance product offerings.

Preferred candidate profile

- Robust knowledge of retail fixtures, VM displays, gondolas, Module Updates, Rendering and Planogram, wallbay, and shopfitting systems.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Office (MS Project)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Epicor or SAP.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.




- Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes involving metal, wood, acrylic, lighting, and graphic applications.
- High ownership, accountability, transparency, and execution focus.

Preferred Experience:

- 2-5 years of experience in Design & Development, Engineering, or Project Execution within retail fixtures, VM, shopfitting, or project-based manufacturing industries.
- Experience handling luxury retail, beauty, cosmetics, or brand rollout projects will be an added advantage.

Success Criteria

- Timely delivery of engineering outputs and planogram updates.
- Effective coordination between client, VM, PM, and manufacturing teams.
- High-quality engineering documentation with minimal rework.
- Strong ownership and proactive problem-solving across assigned projects.
