Job Overview

Salt Technologies is seeking a Technical Project Manager who can manage software development projects while having a strong understanding of technology, engineering practices, and modern development methodologies.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely with developers, architects, QA engineers, DevOps, and clients. This role requires someone who can understand technical discussions, translate business requirements into actionable deliverables, identify project risks, and ensure successful delivery.

The candidate should have hands-on experience working with software development projects and a strong understanding of technology stacks, SDLC, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and Agile practices.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

- Plan, execute, monitor, and deliver software development projects.
- Define project scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Track project progress, risks, issues, and overall delivery status.
- Manage project priorities and ensure timely delivery within the agreed scope.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and maintain project documentation.

Technical Understanding

- Understand software architecture, application development, APIs, databases, and cloud environments.
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical challenges and dependencies.
- Review technical estimates, development approaches,



and implementation timelines.
- Understand common technology stacks such as Python, Java, .NET, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, cloud platforms, APIs, and AI/ML technologies.
- Participate in technical discussions and communicate technical topics effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Team & Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with developers, QA, DevOps, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams, clients, and business stakeholders.
- Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions clearly.
- Facilitate resolution of project-level blockers and escalations.
- Support teams in maintaining accountability for deliverables.

Agile & Delivery

- Drive Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Manage backlog priorities in collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders.
- Monitor sprint velocity, timelines, capacity, and delivery commitments.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, coding, testing, release, and deployment processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and team efficiency.

Client Management

- Work directly with clients to understand requirements and expectations.
- Provide regular project updates and delivery reports.
- Manage scope changes, priorities, dependencies, and expectations.




- Build solid client relationships through transparent and proactive communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 3 to 5 years of experience in software development project management, technical project management, or software delivery.
- Prior experience managing software development / IT projects is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, software architecture, APIs, databases, testing, and deployment processes.
- Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with engineering teams.
- Working knowledge of modern technology stacks such as Python, Java/.NET, React/Node.js, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Cloud, DevOps, or AI/ML.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong project planning, estimation, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced software development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with AWS, Azure, or Microsoft Fabric environments.
- Exposure to AI/ML, GenAI, Agentic AI, Data Engineering, or Cloud projects.
- Experience working with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar project management platforms.
- Experience working with global clients, particularly US/Canada-based stakeholders.
