Position Overview: We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of DevOps for an enterprise client account built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be the client's main DevOps point of contact: you design, build, and run their infrastructure and delivery pipelines, and you deal with them directly. This is an independent role for someone who sets the standard, takes the initiative, and keeps production reliable without waiting to be asked.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end DevOps for a client account on GCP: infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Act as the client's primary DevOps contact. Liaise with them directly, turn their requirements into technical work, and keep them informed on progress, risks, and trade-offs.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, repeatable, and reliable releases.
- Provision and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and GCP-native tooling.
- Deploy and run containerised workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Monitor system performance with Google Cloud's operations suite; find bottlenecks and resolve them before they reach the client.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud environments, deployment pipelines, and production systems.
- Set and enforce security, compliance, and cost-control practices across the client's GCP environment.
- Raise risks and improvements early and recommend tools or practices that make delivery more reliable.

Required Skills & Expertise:

- GCP Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run and/or Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring/Logging) is mandatory.

- Containers & Orchestration:



Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, ideally Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

- CI/CD & Automation: Hands-on experience with Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions, together with Terraform and Ansible.

- Monitoring & Logging: Google Cloud operations suite (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging), Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack.

- Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and operational tasks.

- Version Control & Collaboration: Strong experience with Git and working in a collaborative team.

- Communication: Excellent spoken and written English, with the confidence to manage a client relationship directly and independently.

- Good-to-Have: Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid deployments (AWS or Azure).

Preferred Qualifications:

- B.Tech / BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer or Qualified Cloud Architect certification is highly desirable.
- Prior experience as the sole or lead DevOps engineer on a client account.
- Experience working in Agile teams and across multiple projects.
