Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Principal Engineer – Quality & Operational Excellence to drive quality excellence, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across Jamco India.

The role will focus on strengthening quality systems, optimizing engineering and business processes, identifying operational inefficiencies, and leading cross-functional Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, and process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in aerospace/aviation or other high-reliability industries, with a combination of AS9100D, Quality Management Systems, Lean/Continuous Improvement, process excellence, data-driven problem solving, and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement Quality and Operational Excellence frameworks aligned with Jamco standards and aerospace requirements.
- Support AS9100D Quality Management System implementation, audit readiness, compliance, and continual improvement.
- Conduct internal and process audits and drive effective CAPA and corrective action closure.
- Lead Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives including VSM, Kaizen, waste elimination, process optimization, and productivity improvement.
- Facilitate cross-functional Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and process improvement workshops.
- Identify process gaps, operational risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities through audits, data analysis, RCA, and KPI monitoring.
- Facilitate structured problem-solving activities including RCA, 8D, CAPA, and FMEA.
- Establish and monitor process KPIs, quality metrics, and operational performance dashboards.
- Drive standardization and optimization of engineering and business processes.
- Identify opportunities for digitalization, automation, and data-driven process improvement.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, procedures, work instructions, and improvement standards.




- Benchmark processes and practices against aerospace and industry best practices.
- Track improvement initiatives, quantify business advantages, and communicate progress to leadership.
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across Jamco India.
- Influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders without direct people-management responsibility.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- 15+ years of relevant experience in Quality, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean, Process Excellence, or related areas.
- Experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Engineering, Manufacturing, Defense, or another high-reliability industry preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100D and aerospace quality processes.
- Proven experience in Lean, Six Sigma, VSM, Kaizen, RCA, CAPA, FMEA, 8D, process mapping, and KPI management.
- Strong experience in Quality Management Systems, process audits, compliance, and continual improvement.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional improvement initiatives and delivering measurable business results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach.
- Experience with process digitalization, automation, dashboards, or business analytics is desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence teams and senior stakeholders through expertise rather than hierarchy.
- Engineering degree preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification is desirable.
