Key Responsibilities

- Provide L1 monitoring and support for Linux/Unix servers and infrastructure.
- Monitor server health, availability, CPU, memory, disk space, and system alerts.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of Linux OS, services, processes, and connectivity issues.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and alerts in the ITSM/ticketing tool.
- Perform basic user and access administration, including account creation, modification, and password-related activities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot basic issues related to file systems, mounts, permissions, processes, and services.
- Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and operational runbooks.
- Perform basic Linux commands and troubleshooting using Shell/Unix commands.
- Coordinate with L2/L3 Linux, Network, Database, Storage, and Application teams for issue resolution.




- Escalate incidents within defined SLA timelines when resolution requires higher-level expertise.
- Maintain proper documentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, patching support, and server health checks.
- Perform routine checks and ensure operational compliance with defined processes.
- Support backup monitoring, batch/job monitoring, and scheduled activities as required.
- Prepare daily/weekly operational reports and maintain support documentation.
- Participate in shift-based support and rotational weekend/on-call activities, if required.
