Job Description:

Position: Head/Sr. Manager - NPD

Location: Wada - Mumbai

Experience: 12 - 18 Years

Industries: Engineering

Responsibilities:

- Lead New Product Development (NPD) activities for fasteners from RFQ to production handover.
- Review customer requirements, drawings and specifications and conduct technical feasibility.
- Prepare product costing, process costing and commercial feasibility for new projects.
- Lead product design, process development, tooling and prototype development.
- Coordinate Tool Development/Tooling activities for dies, fixtures, gauges and related tools.
- Manage prototype trials, testing, validation and performance evaluation.
- Drive APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA and related NPD documentation.
- Coordinate with customers/OEMs for technical discussions, drawings, specifications and approvals.
- Lead cross-functional teams across Design, Tool Room, Production, Quality and Purchase.
- Ensure successful industrialisation and smooth current product transfer to production.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and product optimisation.
- Monitor NPD timelines, project milestones, trials and customer approval status.
- Resolve technical issues during development,



prototype and pre-production stages.
- Ensure new products meet quality, cost, delivery and customer requirements.
- Mentor and guide the NPD/Development team and drive project ownership
