Role Overview

n

The Vice President – Operations will be responsible for the overall operational performance of

n

our client's Accounting, Tax, Payroll, Compliance and CFO Services functions.

n

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building scalable operating systems,

n

strengthening service delivery, improving productivity and quality, developing operational

n

talent, and driving technology-enabled transformation across the organization.

n

The ideal candidate will combine strong operational leadership with a deep understanding of finance and accounting services, preferably within a U.S. accounting, tax, payroll, compliance, outsourcing, BPO, CAS or skilled services environment.

n

The VP – Operations will work closely with the Founder/CEO, functional leaders, Product and

n

Technology teams, and Client Success/Sales teams to translate business objectives into effective

n

operational execution.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Operations Strategy: Develop and execute scalable operations strategies across

n

Accounting, Tax, Payroll, Compliance and CFO Services.

n

Service Delivery: Oversee end-to-end service delivery, ensuring high standards of

n

quality, accuracy, timeliness and client satisfaction.

n

 Process & Automation: Standardize processes, improve operational efficiency and

n

drive automation in partnership with Product and Technology teams.

n

 People Leadership: Build, lead and develop high-performing operations teams,

n

managers and functional leaders.

n

 Performance Management:



Establish operational KPIs and dashboards to monitor

n

productivity, quality, SLAs, capacity and profitability.

n

 Capacity & Scalability: Lead workforce planning and operational readiness to

n

support business growth and seasonal demand.

n

& Risk: Strengthen quality-control frameworks, operational controls and

n

compliance processes.

n

 Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO, Sales, Client Success,

n

Finance, HR, Product and Technology teams to achieve business objectives.

n

 Continuous Improvement: Identify operational gaps and implement initiatives that

n

improve efficiency, client experience and overall business performance.

n

Required Qualifications & Experience

n

 Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.

n

 CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

n

 10+ years of progressive experience, with significant experience in operations

n

leadership.

n

 Proven experience leading large, multi-functional teams in accounting, tax, payroll,

n

compliance, finance outsourcing, BPO, CAS or professional services(Big 4 candidates

n

preferred)

n

 Strong understanding of U.S. accounting, taxation, payroll and compliance

n

operations.

n





 Experience managing U.S.-based clients or U.S.-focused service delivery teams.

n

 Demonstrated experience in scaling operations within a high-growth organization.

n

 Strong understanding of operational metrics, workforce planning, quality management

n

and process improvement.

n

 Experience working with technology/product teams to automate operational

n

workflows.

n

 Strong commercial understanding, including cost management, productivity and

n

service-line profitability.

n

Preferred Experience

n

 Experience in a U.S. accounting firm, CAS practice, tax outsourcing organization,

n

finance BPO or technology-enabled accounting services company.

n

 Experience managing multiple service lines simultaneously.

n

 Experience implementing ERP, accounting, workflow or compliance technology.

n

 Experience building operations from an early-stage or rapidly scaling environment.

n

 Familiarity with platforms such as QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, Avalara or similar

n

accounting, payroll and compliance technologies is an advantage.
