Role Description This is a full-time, in office Quantity Surveyor role based in Chennai.

The Quantity

Surveyor will handle cost estimation, preparation and review of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and monitoring project budgets throughout the project lifecycle. Daily responsibilities include tracking and controlling project costs, preparing periodic cost reports, and supporting cost planning activities for new and ongoing projects. The role involves coordinating with project managers, engineers,



and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost data and financial compliance with contracts.

The Quantity

Surveyor will also assist in value engineering, tender evaluations, and verification of contractor invoices and claims.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to monitor budgets and optimize project expenditures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting to support forecasting, financial tracking, and periodic reporting.
- Candidates should possess strong BOQ preparation and review skills to ensure accurate quantity take-offs and detailed cost breakdowns.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying or estimation software.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, pricing, and tendering processes.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and ability to work with project teams on-site.
- Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer in infrastructure or construction projects is preferred.
