Power BI Consultant – Production Support & Optimization /n Full Time | In office | Chennai | Immediate Joiner /n Role Overview /n We are looking for an experienced Power BI Consultant to support a business-critical reporting environment following a cloud data-platform migration. The role combines hands-on Power BI development, production support, performance optimization, functional analysis, and business stakeholder engagement. /n Key Responsibilities /n /n

- Support Power BI reports and dashboards during go-live, stabilization, and day-to-day operations.

/n

- Investigate and resolve data, refresh, access, security, performance, and reporting issues.

/n

- Validate reports, semantic models, calculations, data accuracy, and security after platform changes.

/n

- Develop and enhance dashboards, data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations.

/n

- Optimize report performance, dataset refreshes, data models, SQL queries, and Snowflake usage.

/n

- Perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.

/n

- Gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.

/n

- Work with stakeholders to define KPIs, priorities, acceptance criteria, and improvement needs.

/n

- Manage defects and enhancements from initial analysis through testing, deployment, and support.

/n

- Coordinate with data engineering, platform, security, and business teams.

/n

- Maintain documentation, support procedures, and a prioritized improvement backlog.

/n

- Support user acceptance testing, production releases, and business sign-off.

/n /n Required Skills and Experience /n /n





- At least five years of business intelligence or analytics experience.

/n

- At least three years of hands-on Power BI development and production support.

/n

- Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

/n

- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and semantic data modelling.

/n

- Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data platform.

/n

- Experience with refresh schedules, gateways, workspaces, permissions, and row-level security.

/n

- Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and performance issues across reporting and data layers.

/n

- Experience supporting a migration, go-live, or production stabilization period.

/n

- Proven ability to gather requirements directly from business stakeholders.

/n

- Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and ownership skills.

/n

- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to both business and technical audiences.

/n /n Preferred Skills /n /n

- Power BI Premium or Microsoft Fabric experience.

/n

- Snowflake query and warehouse optimization.

/n

- DirectQuery, composite models, and incremental refresh.

/n

- Deployment pipelines, version control, and release management.

/n

- Experience with DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Power BI APIs, or PowerShell.

/n

- Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change-management processes.
