About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on People & Culture - Associate to independently manage the end-to-end HR function for a small, close-knit team in our Mumbai office. This is a generalist role suited to someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll coordination, compliance, and employee engagement, in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll be the go-to HR point of contact for the team and will have the opportunity to shape HR processes as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

- Own HR operations for the Mumbai location while working closely with teams and stakeholders based in Bangalore and GIFT City
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle - sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer management for open roles across functions
- Own onboarding and induction for new hires, ensuring a smooth first-day-to-first-month experience
- Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and documentation in line with company policy
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs, including attendance, leaves, and reimbursements and ensure all payroll-related inputs are accurately updated in the HRMS.




- Drive employee engagement initiatives, feedback mechanisms, and internal communication
- Support performance management cycles - goal setting, appraisals, and feedback documentation
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and HR-related concerns
- Manage off boarding processes including exit interviews, full & final settlements, and documentation
- Assist leadership with HR policy formulation and implementation as the team grows

What We're Looking For

- 1-3 years of experience having independently handled end-to-end HR operations for a small team (startup or small-office experience is mandatory)
- MBA/PGDM in HR is preferred, but candidates with a robust generalist HR background from other academic streams are welcome to apply
- Working knowledge of statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT) and payroll coordination
- Comfortable operating with autonomy and minimal supervision,this is an individual-contributor role for someone who can own the function
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust across a small team
- Proficiency with HRMS tools and MS Office/Google Workspace
- High degree of discretion and integrity in handling confidential employee information

- Prior experience in a fintech, broking, or financial services company
