Role Description

n

Supra Controls is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to deploy and commission its proprietary industrial data systems such as historians and alarm management platforms at customer sites. The role operates within Level 2.5 to DMZ layers of industrial architectures and requires strong understanding of OT systems, industrial communication protocols, and plant environments.

Qualifications

Commission and configure:

n

n
- Industrial data historians
n
- Alarm management systems
n

n

Integrate plant data from:

n

n
- PLCs / DCS / SCADA systems
n

n





Work with communication protocols:

n

n
- OPC DA / UA
n
- Modbus TCP / RTU
n
- TCP/IP, Serial communication
n
- File-based integrations (CSV, logs, etc.)
n

n

Interface with:

n

n
- Level 2/3 systems (SCADA, MES, Enterprise)
n

n

Deploy solutions in:

n

n
- DMZ / OT network architectures
n

n

Perform:

n

n
- Site commissioning
n
- Testing & validation
n
- Customer training
n

n

Required Skills

n

Background in:

n

n
- Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics / Industrial Automation
n

n

Experience with:

n

n
- PLC / SCADA systems (e.g., ABB, Honeywell, Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)
n

n

Robust understanding of:

n

n
- Industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus)
n
- Networking basics (IP, ports, firewalls)
n

n

Familiarity with:

n

n
- Windows-based industrial systems
n
- Basic database concepts (SQL queries, data logging)
n

n

This role is not suitable for pure IT/software development profiles without industrial automation or plant system experience.
