As Aavkar continues to grow, we are building a professional team that can help us deliver consistently high standards across our venues and events. The upcoming Garba 2026 and wedding season from November 2026 to March 2027 will be an important period for the business, with a strong focus on weddings, cultural celebrations and large-scale events.

We are expanding our team and looking for an experienced, energetic and highly organised Event Manager who can take ownership of events from planning through execution and contribute to the continued growth of Aavkar.

About the Role:

The Event Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing weddings, Garba events, social celebrations and other large-scale events.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple moving parts at once and is comfortable taking responsibility for event execution on the ground.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate and execute events from initial preparation through final completion.




- Coordinate with clients, venue teams, decorators, florists, caterers, production teams, artists, vendors, labour teams and external agencies.
- Prepare and maintain event schedules, timelines, checklists and execution plans.
- Conduct venue visits, site inspections and pre-event coordination meetings.
- Supervise event setup, decoration, production, lighting, sound and other event requirements.
- Coordinate rehearsals, event-day activities and vendor movements.
- Ensure that all event elements are delivered according to the approved design, timeline and quality standards.
- Monitor vendors and external agencies to ensure timely and professional execution.
- Handle last-minute changes and on-ground challenges calmly and efficiently.
- Coordinate with internal managers and senior management throughout the event lifecycle.
- Ensure that event setup and breakdown happen within the required timelines.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service partners.
- Track event-related requirements, inventories and operational checklists.
- Conduct post-event reviews and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and stakeholders at all times.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- 2–5 years of experience in event management, wedding planning, event production, hospitality or a related field.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and activities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure during large-scale events.
- Robust attention to detail.




- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and extended hours during event periods.
- Comfortable travelling to different event venues within Ahmedabad and nearby locations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and basic documentation tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in wedding planning or wedding/event execution.
- Experience handling large-scale Garba, cultural or public events.
- Existing relationships with event vendors, decorators, florists, production companies or labour teams.
- Experience managing premium/luxury events.
- Knowledge of event production, décor, lighting and sound.
- Experience working with budgets, quotations and vendor negotiations.

We are looking for someone who does not simply coordinate an event but takes ownership of it.

The ideal candidate should be proactive, dependable, solution-oriented and comfortable being on the ground during event execution. You should be able to identify problems before they become problems and make sure every department works together smoothly.

Work Schedule:

The role will require flexibility during the event season, including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended working hours depending on event schedules.

The primary season for this position will be:

Garba 2026 and the wedding/event season from November 2026 to March 2027.
