n2. Bid & Tender Management – Government / Government Ministry
n
n
- Lead end-to-end bid and tender management for technology-led opportunities with government departments, ministries, public-sector organizations, and other institutional clients.
n
- Own the bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification, RFP/RFQ/RFI analysis, solutioning, technical and commercial coordination, compliance documentation, pricing inputs, and submission through clarification, negotiation, and award stages.
n
- Work closely with business, finance, legal, solution architects, delivery, cybersecurity, and procurement teams to build competitive, compliant, and commercially viable proposals.
n
- Develop and review technical proposals, statements of work, solution architectures, implementation approaches, service levels, risk assumptions, and governance models.
n
- Ensure adherence to government procurement requirements, tender conditions, eligibility criteria, security standards, data-protection obligations, and contractual commitments.
n
- GLOBAL EXPOSURE – Mandatory experience handling bids/tenders or institutional engagements across multiple geographies, preferably involving international government, ministry or public-sector stakeholders and differing procurement/regulatory frameworks.

n3. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
n
n
- Manage relationships with global technology vendors, system integrator, strategic partners, and service providers.
n
- Negotiate and oversee large-scale contracts, SLAs, commercial terms, performance metrics, renewals, and service governance.
n
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to deliver business-aligned technology solutions.
n
- Drive stakeholder alignment across operations, compliance, and customer experience teams.
n
n4. Merger & Acquisition (M&A;) / Technology Integration
n
n
- Provide technology leadership and due diligence support for mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures, and business integrations.
n
- Assess target organizations’ IT architecture, applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, data landscape, technology contracts, licenses, vendors, and technical debt.
n
- Identify technology synergies, integration risks, cost opportunities, duplication, and transformation priorities and translate findings into actionable integration plans.
n
- Develop and execute post-merger technology integration roadmaps covering applications, infrastructure, data, identity/access, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, governance, and operating models.
n
- Partner with executive leadership, finance, legal, HR, business teams, and external advisors to ensure technology integration supports the broader deal thesis and business objectives.
n
- GLOBAL EXPOSURE – Mandatory experience supporting or leading M&A;/integration initiatives involving businesses, teams, systems, or stakeholders across multiple countries/geographies.

Digital
Transformation & AI Integration
n
n
- Drive enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives across operations and customer interfaces.
n
- Lead adoption of AI/ML technologies, including intelligent document processing, fraud detection systems, predictive analytics, conversational AI, and automation.
n
- Develop scalable data platforms, analytics capabilities, and decision intelligence systems.
n
- Embed automation and digital-first workflows across business processes.
n
- GLOBAL EXPOSURE – Experience leading transformation and AI/digital programs across international markets is essential, including coordination with global stakeholders and technology teams.

n6. Global IT Infrastructure & Systems Management
n
n
- Oversee end-to-end IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and application landscape across all global locations.
n
- Lead cloud transformation initiatives (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures.
n
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of mission-critical systems.
n
- Drive modernization through micro-services architecture, APIs, and platform engineering.
n
- Manage global IT operations supporting high-volume, transaction-heavy environments.

n7. Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance
n
n
- Develop and implement a robust cybersecurity strategy and governance framework.
n
- Ensure compliance with global data protection regulations (GDPR, etc.) and government specific security requirements.
n
- Lead risk management, security operations, and incident response mechanisms.
n
- Establish and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery frameworks.
n
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reviews.
n
- GLOBAL EXPOSURE – Mandatory experience managing cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or technology governance across multiple geographies, with an understanding of differing regulatory and data-protection environments.

n8. Innovation & Emerging Technologies

- Identify and implement emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence / Generative AI, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Blockchain (where applicable).

- Establish innovation frameworks and Centres of Excellence (CoEs).

- Foster a culture of continuous innovation, experimentation, and agility.

- GLOBAL EXPOSURE – Demonstrated ability to evaluate and scale emerging technologies in international/global operating environments is preferred.

nRequired Qualifications
nEducational Background

- Engineering Graduate (B.Tech. / BE) – Mandatory.
n
- Master’s degree (MBA / PGDM / M.Tech) – Preferred.

nProfessional Experience
n

- 20+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles.
n
- 8+ years in senior leadership roles (CIO / CTO / Head IT).
n
- Experience within listed Indian companies / large enterprises / global services organizations.
n
- Proven track record of managing global IT operations across multiple geographies.
n
- Experience in regulated industries or government-linked environments is highly desirable.
n
- GLOBAL EXPOSURE – Mandatory: substantial international experience leading technology functions, programs, bid and tender management, stakeholders, teams, vendors, or operations across multiple countries/geographies.
