Role Description The Assistant Manager HR role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ranipet. The role involves managing end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, and employee life cycle documentation for plant and office staff.
The Assistant
Manager HR will handle employee relations, support performance management processes, and assist in organizing training and development initiatives. Daily responsibilities include maintaining HR records, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements, and supporting payroll inputs and attendance management.
The role also collaborates with department heads to address staffing needs, promotes a positive workplace culture, and assists in implementing HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and performance management.
- Experience with HR operations, including attendance tracking, payroll support, and HR documentation in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Understanding of labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR policies relevant to industrial and plant settings.
- Proficiency in HR-related software or ERP systems and good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with diverse teams and resolve employee concerns professionally.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to reporting and documentation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; relevant HR certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an HR role within manufacturing or automotive industry preferred; familiarity with plant HR practices is beneficial.
