Job Overview

Stride Logistics & Consultants is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Associate / Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a Canada-based apparel company.

This role requires strong bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals, along with hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics ERP. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing AP, AR, reconciliations, General Ledger activities and routine accounting transactions in an inventory-driven business environment.

Experience in apparel, retail, wholesale, distribution, or other inventory-driven businesses will be highly preferred.

What you will do

- Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions in Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), including vendor invoices, payments and reconciliations.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including customer invoicing, payment application and receivable follow-up.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
- Review vendor and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory-related accounting and reconciliations.
- Record journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate supporting documentation for invoices, payments, expenses and other accounting transactions.
- Assist with GST/HST-related accounting and reconciliations.
- Prepare basic accounting and financial reports for management.
- Coordinate with internal teams, customers and vendors to resolve accounting-related issues.




- Support external accountants and auditors by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete and updated on a timely basis.

You are the right fit if you have

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
- 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred.
- Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics ERP experience is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, General Ledger and bookkeeping principles.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience in apparel, retail, wholesale, distribution or inventory-driven businesses is highly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are mandatory.
