About The Proteinest The Proteinest is a D2C plant-based nutrition brand. We build products people come back for, and we grow on brand and retention rather than ad spend. Video is how we tell our story, so this role sits close to how we grow.

The Role

We are looking for a Video Editor who can turn raw footage into content that stops the scroll. Reels, ads, founder content & social videos are what you will make most, and they are what drive our growth. You should be able to take a rough brief or a folder of clips and shape it into something sharp, on-brand & genuinely engaging.

This is a hands-on, high-output role for someone who thinks about the story, not just the cut. We will give you direction and context, not step-by-step instructions. If you understand pacing, hooks & what makes someone watch to the end, and you can own your edits without hand-holding, you will do well here.

What You'll Own
Edit and cut video for reels, ads, founder content & social.




Shape raw footage into a clear story with a solid hook in the first few seconds.
Add motion, text, sound & simple effects that lift the edit without overdoing it.
Bring your own ideas for edits and formats, not just execute a shot list.
Keep a consistent look and feel, so every video feels like The Proteinest.

What We're Looking For
Robust hands-on editing with Premiere Pro and After Effects.
A real sense of pacing, rhythm & storytelling. You know why a cut works.
Understanding of what performs on Instagram Reels and short-form social.
Comfortable with sound design, text, and basic motion within an edit.
Self-driven. You can take a brief and run with it without hand-holding.
Comfortable working rapid and shipping often in a startup setup.
1 to 3 years of editing experience, with work to show for it.

Nice to Have
Motion graphics skills.
Experience editing for a B2C or consumer brand, ideally nutrition, wellness, or food.
Basic color grading and audio cleanup.
Comfortable shooting or directing simple footage when needed.
