Role Description This is a full time, on-site role for a VFX Paint Artist based in Chennai. The VFX Paint Artist will be responsible for digital paint and cleanup tasks, including removing rigs, markers, and unwanted elements, restoring backgrounds, and fixing artifacts across live-action plates. The role involves working closely with compositors, roto artists, and supervisors to ensure consistent quality and seamless integration of painted elements into final shots.

The artist will review reference materials, follow show-specific guidelines,



and maintain organized workflows while meeting production deadlines. Collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to diverse project requirements are essential in this position.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Paint and Painting skills for digital cleanup, restoration, and detail-oriented image work.
Candidates should possess solid Art and Animation skills to understand composition, motion, and visual storytelling in VFX shots.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with supervisors, peers, and cross-functional VFX teams.
Proficiency in industry-standard VFX tools (e.g., Nuke, Silhouette, Photoshop, and related paint/roto software) is highly beneficial.
Foundation in visual arts, design, or animation, supported by a relevant degree, diploma, or portfolio showcasing VFX paint work.
Ability to interpret creative briefs, follow technical specifications, and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.
Prior experience as a VFX Paint Artist or in a similar role within a studio or production setting is an advantage.
