This project is called abstractive text summarization. In abstractive text summarization, the task is to generate a summary that captures the key ideas of the source text. In this project, the objective is to listen to a recorded conversation (and read along in the transcript) and convert the conversation into an Office Visit report.
Project Workflow
The project has two tasks. The first is creating the Office Visit. The second is demonstrating where you found your information in the transcript that you used to create the content in the Office Visit. This second step is referred to as “evidence linking”. Let’s look at each task.
Creating the Office Visit_
You’ll be working in our software. On the screen you’ll see the raw transcript on the right side of the page,
and you’ll see the blank template on the left side. You’ll read through the transcript and listen to the audio file. As you read and listen, you’ll begin filling out the sections of the template.
Required Work Experience: 10 years in medical transcription or 1 year experience as medical scribe.
