Role & responsibilities

Project Costing & Budgeting
Prepare and monitor project budgets based on estimates, BOQs, contracts, and execution plans.
Develop project cost structures covering materials, manpower, subcontractors, logistics, and overheads.
Track Budget vs. Actual costs and identify cost risks.
Support project tendering and commercial evaluations through cost analysis.

Cost Control & Monitoring
Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Analyze cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
Track material, manpower, subcontractor, and overhead costs.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Prevent cost leakage through effective monitoring and controls.

Profitability Analysis & Forecasting
Monitor project profitability and contribution margins.
Prepare Cost-to-Complete and Estimated Cost at Completion (EAC) forecasts.
Highlight risks affecting project margins and profitability.
Support management with accurate cost and profitability projections.

Cost Accounting & MIS
Maintain cost centers and costing structures.
Ensure proper allocation of direct and indirect costs.
Prepare monthly cost control MIS and management reports.
Conduct variance analysis and provide meaningful business insights.




Support data-driven decision-making through accurate financial reporting.

Procurement & Inventory Cost Management
Work closely with Procurement and Stores teams to control material costs.
Analyze purchase price and material consumption variances.
Monitor inventory levels, excess stock, and material wastage.
Support vendor cost benchmarking and cost optimization initiatives.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Strengthen costing processes and financial controls.
Develop and implement SOPs for cost accounting and cost control.
Drive reporting automation and process standardization.

Ensure compliance with company policies and approval procedures.

Preferred candidate profile
CMA / ICWA qualified (Mandatory).
8+ years of experience in Cost Accounting, Cost Control, Project Finance, or Management Accounting.
Robust experience in EPC, Engineering, Construction, Real Estate, MEP, ELV, Infrastructure, or similar project-based industries.
Sound knowledge of project costing, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and business partnering skills.
