Role Overview

The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Workplace, Health & Safety (EHS) practices at residential, commercial, and redevelopment project sites. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, accident prevention measures, worker safety practices, and maintaining a safe working workplace across construction activities.

The incumbent will play a key role in promoting safety awareness, minimizing workplace hazards, conducting inspections, ensuring contractor compliance, and maintaining project safety documentation.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Safety Management
Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and EHS standards across project sites.




Ensure secure execution of construction activities including excavation, shuttering, scaffolding, concreting, lifting operations, work at height, and finishing activities.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard identification exercises at site.
Monitor unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and initiate corrective/preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with company safety guidelines and statutory safety requirements.

Safety Compliance & Monitoring
Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and construction safety standards.
Verify contractor adherence to safety procedures, PPE usage, and work permit systems.
Monitor safety compliance for all subcontractors, workers, and vendors at site.
Ensure proper implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.
Coordinate statutory inspections and compliance requirements related to EHS.
