The Underwriter is responsible for assessing, pricing, and managing insurance risks related to commercial property, energy, power generation, oil & gas, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects. The role involves evaluating exposures, determining coverage terms, and ensuring profitable portfolio growth while maintaining underwriting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess property and energy risks by reviewing technical, financial, and operational information.
Analyze loss history, risk engineering reports, and catastrophe exposures.
Determine coverage, policy terms, conditions, limits, and pricing.
Underwrite current business, renewals, and endorsements within delegated authority.
Collaborate with brokers, clients, risk engineers, and reinsurers.




Support business development by building relationships with brokers and key clients.
Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
Solid understanding of property and energy insurance products and risk assessment.
Knowledge of industrial sectors which include power, oil & gas, petrochemical and renewable energy
Analytical and financial evaluation skills.
Negotiation, relationship management, and communication abilities.
Familiarity with risk engineering concepts.
Bachelors degree in engineering with qualified insurance qualifications are an advantage.
