Role & responsibilities
Patient Care and Clinical Management
Conduct detailed clinical assessment of ICU patients upon admission.
Monitor vital signs, hemodynamic parameters, and neurological status regularly.
Develop and implement treatment plans under the guidance of intensivists and consultants.
Prescribe medications, fluids, blood products, and supportive therapies as per protocols.
Review laboratory and radiological investigations and initiate appropriate interventions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Emergency and Critical Care Procedures
Attend and manage medical emergencies within the ICU.
Perform Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Assist in or perform procedures such as:
Endotracheal intubation
Central venous catheter insertion
Arterial line placement
Nasogastric tube insertion
Foley catheterization
CPR and defibrillation
Stabilize critically ill patients before consultant review.




Monitoring and Documentation
Maintain ICU progress notes and treatment charts.
Document patient condition, interventions, and clinical outcomes.
Ensure proper handover during shift changes.
Report any deterioration in patient condition immediately to the intensivist or consultant.
Coordination and Communication
Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, laboratory personnel, and other departments.
Communicate patient status and treatment plans to relatives as authorized by hospital policy.
Facilitate referrals and multidisciplinary consultations.

Preferred candidate profile
Min. of 3 yrs- 5 yrs of ICU experience
Experience in a multispeciality unit is preferred but not limited to
MBBS is a must.
Should be able to communicate clearly
