About The Team /role Overview

The Controllership Innovation team partners with process owners across Finance to develop and deliver solutions that create efficiencies, increase data fidelity and strengthen Delta’s internal controls.

The Controllership Innovation team seeks a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and support business process solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. In this role, you will work closely with Finance and Controllership stakeholders to understand business challenges, identify automation opportunities, and deliver scalable, user-friendly solutions that drive measurable business value.

You will be responsible for translating business requirements into effective technical solutions that improve process efficiency, data quality, and operational controls. The ideal candidate combines solid technical skills with problem-solving ability, ownership, customer focus, and a passion for leveraging AI-enabled tools and modern development practices to accelerate delivery and enhance user experiences.





Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain business applications and automations using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse).
Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly solutions.
Identify prospects to simplify, optimize, and automate business processes across Finance and related functions.
Leverage AI-powered tools and up-to-date development practices to improve solution quality, productivity, and delivery speed.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve issues, manage enhancements, and ensure successful delivery of solutions.
Support and maintain existing applications, including issue investigation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
Drive projects from requirements gathering through deployment, adoption, and support.
