Job Description: Buyer – Direct Procurement (Mechanical, Electronics & Electro-Mechanical)

Position Summary

The Buyer will be responsible for handling direct procurement of Mechanical, Electronics, and Electro-Mechanical components. This role involves supplier sourcing, RFQ management, negotiations, PO creation, cost optimization, and ensuring timely material availability. The Buyer will be Responsible for all sourcing and procurement activities related to direct materials and for maintaining robust vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement of Mechanical,



Electronics, and Electro-Mechanical components.
Identify, develop, and evaluate suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Raise RFQs, collect quotations, compare offers, and prepare techno-commercial evaluations.
Conduct negotiations on pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and long-term agreements.
Create purchase orders in ERP/SAP and ensure alignment with internal policies.
Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Planning teams for specifications and approvals.
Monitor supplier delivery performance and ensure on-time material availability.
Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delays, shortages, or documentation.
Support cost-reduction initiatives, supplier consolidation, and value-engineering activities.
Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier communication in the ERP system.
