Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate conventional and/or CNC lathe machines.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Select appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and materials for each job.
Perform precision turning, drilling, boring, threading, and facing operations.
Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy and quality.
Measure finished components using micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
Maintain required tolerances and surface finishes.
Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure proper lubrication and cleanliness.
Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
Follow safety standards and maintain a clean work workplace.
Document production data and report any defects or irregularities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI / Technical certification in Machining, Turner Trade, or related field.
Proven experience as a Turner or Lathe Operator in a manufacturing setting.
Solid understanding of machining principles and metal properties.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of CNC programming (preferred, if applicable).
Valuable manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
