Roles & Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain MySQL database servers
Monitor database performance, availability, and security
Manage MySQL replication setups (Master-Slave / Master-Master)
Configure and maintain MySQL clustering environments
Perform query optimization, indexing, and database tuning
Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams
Maintain database architecture and operational documentation
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA
Strong expertise in MySQL database administration
Hands-on experience with replication and clustering
Experience in database performance tuning and optimization
Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures
Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments
Familiarity with monitoring tools and automation scripting
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with high-availability database environments
Knowledge of Percona tools, MySQL 8.0, or Galera Cluster
Basic shell scripting knowledge
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Relevant certifications will be an added advantage
