A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Scientist at MKS MSD you will partner with Chemical and Physical Characterization (CPC) funtion. In this role, you will report to the functional team manager in Materials Science
CPC. You will carry out different approaches and methodologies to conduct different R&D; activities related to Scientific experiments, troubleshooting, and collaborate closely with partners to deliver Materials Science driven solutions under the technical guidance that support research and development initiatives as well as the external customer. You will be working closely with colleagues from your own team, team manager, CPC manager, and other cross-functional departments local and global. An open and transparent communication with the team members and CPC manager is expected. When required, you will also act as a support to customer (salesperson or colleague from other R&D; functions) through consultation, trouble shooting, process optimization, site visits, maintaining the confidentiality and compliance of the department and the company.

You Will Make an Impact By:




You are responsible for independently conducting, analyzing, and reporting materials science investigations using advanced tools such as FE-SEM, XRF, and optical microscopy etc., while also handling assembly tasks such as soldering and bonding properties of printed circuit boards
Partner with R&D; teams in the development of current products and processes
You will prepare and deliver quality reports, and manage documentation to enhance customer satisfaction
Ensure the operational availability of the laboratory equipment and troubleshooting of instruments
Documentation of materials science processes and investigations according to ISO 9001/14001/45001/17025
