About the Role
Swid Renewables Limited is looking for a technically competent and highly accountable Project Owner Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of Industrial Solar EPC projects—from receipt of the Customer Purchase Order until successful commissioning and final handover.
The Project Owner Engineer will be the single point of coordination between the customer and Swid’s Design, Engineering, Procurement, Stores, Finance, Projects, Quality, Safety and Service teams.
While the Projects Team will execute the installation, the Project Owner Engineer will remain responsible for ensuring that the project is engineered correctly, adequately resourced, safely executed, completed on time, delivered within budget and handed over to the customer with the highest quality standards.
Although employed by Swid, the person will act as an Owner’s Engineer from the customer’s perspective,
safeguarding the customer’s technical and quality expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Take complete ownership of assigned projects immediately after receipt of the Purchase Order.
Review the project scope, technical specifications, commercial terms, payment milestones and completion schedule.
Conduct technical site visits along with the Design Engineer.
Collect and verify all technical inputs required for detailed engineering.
Coordinate the preparation of layouts, SLDs, structural drawings, cable-routing plans and other project drawings.
Submit drawings to the customer and coordinate until final approval.
Ensure that execution is carried out according to the latest approved drawings.
Coordinate with the Design Team for preparation and verification of the Bill of Materials.
Share the final BOM with the Procurement and Stores teams and track material availability.
