Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Reinsurance qualified with solid expertise in Marine insurance, covering both reinsurance placement and operations. The role will involve managing end-to-end facultative reinsurance placements, coordinating with insurers, reinsurers and internal stakeholders, and ensuring smooth execution of documentation and post-placement activities.

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end Marine Facultative Reinsurance placements, from receiving submissions to final binding.
Analyse Marine risks, underwriting information, policy terms, limits, deductibles and exposure details.
Prepare and review reinsurance slips, submissions, quotations, debit/credit notes, cover notes and other placement documentation.




Approach and negotiate with domestic and international reinsurers for optimal terms and pricing.
Coordinate with cedants, insurers, reinsurers and internal teams throughout the placement cycle.
Handle reinsurance operations and post-placement servicing, including documentation, premium processing, endorsements, renewals and cancellations.
Follow up for reinsurance confirmations, signed lines, policy documentation and closing documents.
Coordinate with finance/accounts teams for premium settlements, collections and related reconciliations.
Support Marine reinsurance renewals and maintain solid relationships with reinsurers and market contacts.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, documentation and internal process requirements.
Maintain accurate records, placement trackers and MIS related to Marine reinsurance business.
Guide junior team members and support the team in meeting placement and operational timelines.
