As a Staff Engineer, you will serve as the technical lead for Oracle Xstore POS deployments across 4000+ stores globally. You will be responsible for driving deployment strategy, improving processes, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of store software rollouts. This is a senior-level role that combines deep technical expertise with leadership and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical authority for Oracle Xstore POS deployments in India.
Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of deployment processes and tools.
Collaborate with global teams to align deployment strategies and ensure consistency across regions.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers, helping grow talent within the team.
Troubleshoot complex deployment issues and lead root cause analysis and resolution.
Optimize deployment automation using tools such as PPM, Xadmin, and Control-M.
Work closely with Oracle systems including Xcenter, Xoffice, and Oracle Database.
Contribute to the development of monitoring and validation tools to ensure deployment success.
Partner with Engineering Managers and Product teams to align on goals and delivery timelines.
Champion DevSecOps practices and ensure secure,
reliable deployment pipelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of skilled experience in software engineering or deployment, with a robust focus on retail systems.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Xstore POS in a production environment.
Proven experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers.
Deep understanding of retail operations, store systems, and in-store technologies.
Expertise in deployment tools such as PPM, Xadmin, and Control-M.
Robust knowledge of Oracle Database, including performance tuning and scripting.
Experience with Xcenter and Xoffice platforms.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead during high-pressure deployment windows.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in global teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with DevOps/CI-CD practices and automation frameworks.
Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to monitoring and analytics tools is a plus.
