About Sandow Cafe

Sandow Cafe is a current café in Kakkanad offering gourmet sandwiches, burritos, beverages, desserts and more. We are looking for an energetic, responsible and versatile Kitchen Assistant/cashier to join our opening team.

Role Overview

This is a multi-functional role where you will be responsible for both customer-facing and kitchen-support duties. The ideal candidate should be comfortable moving between the front counter and kitchen based on the flow of business.

Key Responsibilities
Operate the POS system and accurately process customer orders.
Handle cash, UPI, card and other payment transactions.
Greet customers and provide friendly, skilled service.
Explain menu items and assist customers with their selections.
Manage dine-in, takeaway and online delivery orders.
Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure orders are entered and communicated correctly.
Check orders before handing them over to customers or delivery partners.
Maintain accurate billing and cash records.
Handle opening and closing cashier procedures.
Keep the counter and front-of-house area clean and organized.




Assist with basic customer queries and resolve minor issues professionally.
Coordinate with kitchen staff during busy hours to maintain smooth operations.
Follow Sandow Cafe's service, hygiene and operational standards.

Requirements
Positive communication and customer-service skills.
Basic knowledge of smartphones, computers and POS systems.
Basic English communication is preferred.
Malayalam is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently during busy hours.
Honest, punctual and responsible attitude.
Willingness to learn and work as part of a small team.
Previous cashier, café, restaurant or retail experience is an advantage, but freshers are welcome to apply.

Working Hours

Full-time — Shift-based

The role will primarily cover café operating hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Location: Edachira, Kakkanad, Kochi

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
