Position: Commis 1 – Indian Veg & Non-Veg

Industry: Premium Fine Dining Restaurant

Location: Surat, Gujarat

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Commis 1 – Indian to join our premium fine-dining kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine and be committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes as per standardized recipes.
Assist the Chef/Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Ensure consistent taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.
Handle preparation of gravies, marinades, curries, kebabs, tandoor preparations, and other Indian dishes.
Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and mise en place.
Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and kitchen SOPs.
Ensure minimum wastage and efficient use of ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
Coordinate with other kitchen sections during busy service.




Support senior chefs in menu preparation and new dish trials.

Candidate Requirements
1–3 years of experience in a reputed restaurant, hotel, or fine-dining establishment.
Strong knowledge of Indian Veg & Non-Veg cuisine.
Experience in a premium/fine-dining restaurant will be preferred.
Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service.
Team player with a disciplined and positive attitude.
Hotel Management/Culinary qualification preferred but not mandatory for candidates with relevant experience.
