X-RAY TECHNICIAN – JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: X-Ray Technician
Department: Radiology / X-Ray
Reports To: Hospital Administrator / Radiologist / Medical Officer

Key Responsibilities:
Perform X-ray examinations as prescribed by doctors.
Verify patient details and ensure the correct examination is performed.
Explain the procedure to patients and ensure proper positioning.
Operate and maintain the X-ray machine safely.
Follow radiation safety protocols and use protective equipment.
Ensure positive-quality X-ray images for accurate diagnosis.
Maintain X-ray records, registers, and patient reports.
Keep the X-ray room and equipment clean and organized.
Check equipment regularly and report any technical problems.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other hospital departments.
Follow hospital policies, infection-control practices, and safety procedures.




Maintain patient confidentiality and skilled conduct.
Handle emergency X-ray requests when required.

Qualification:
Diploma / B.Sc. in Radiology or Medical Imaging Technology.
Valid registration/certification as applicable.

Skills:
Good knowledge of X-ray procedures and positioning.
Knowledge of radiation protection and safety.
Positive communication and patient-handling skills.
Ability to work in emergency situations.
Basic computer and record-maintenance skills.

Experience:
Freshers / Experienced candidates can be considered as per hospital requirements.

Pay: From ₹11,000.00 per month
