Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Trainee Technical Editor to join our team. As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in editing and formatting scholarly and technical content while working under the guidance of experienced editors. This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to build a career in publishing and technical editing.

What You’ll Do
Assist in editing and formatting scholarly manuscripts according to publisher guidelines.
Check grammar, punctuation, and spelling for correctness.
Ensure consistency in style, reference formatting, and terminology.
Review and format figures, tables, and equations as per journal requirements.
Cross-check citations and references.
Work closely with senior editors and follow feedback for improvement.




Perform basic quality checks before final submission.

Skills Required
Solid command of written English and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style rules.
Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and PDF tools.
Ability to follow style guides and instructions accurately.
Valuable time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Willingness to learn technical publishing tools (e.g., XML editing, LaTeX basics)

Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree
Fresh graduates or up to 1 year of editing/proofreading experience.
