Machine Setup & Operation: Prepare and set up VMC machines according to specified production requirements, including secure positioning and clamping of raw workpieces and fixtures.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and translate 2D engineering blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;) symbols, and technical specifications into physical components.
Tooling Management: Select, install, and adjust correct cutting tools, drills, and end mills based on specific job and material parameters.
Programming & Code Modification: Load pre-written CNC programs and make necessary manual modifications using G-code and M-code to optimize feed rates, rapid movements, and machine performance.
Offset Corrections:
Establish and correct tool and work offsets in real-time to adjust for tool wear and maintain strict dimensional tolerances.
Quality Inspection: Conduct frequent in-process and final checks on components using tools like Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
Equipment Maintenance: Monitor machine performance (e.g., coolant flow and chip buildup), execute basic troubleshooting, and handle routine lubrication and cleaning tasks.
Production Logging: Maintain explicit, accurate documentation of production data, shift outputs, machine malfunctions, and quality compliance logs.
