Role & responsibilities
Safety Management
Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards across plant operations.
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate or minimize identified risks.
Monitor compliance with PPE requirements across all operational areas.
Promote a robust safety culture among employees, contractors, and workers.
Incident & Near-Miss Management
Record, investigate, and report accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences.
Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective/preventive measures.
Maintain incident and near-miss records and track trends for preventive action.
Ensure timely implementation and closure of actions arising from incident investigations.
EHS Audits & Compliance
Conduct periodic internal EHS inspections and audits.
Coordinate with external auditors, statutory authorities, and certification bodies as required.
Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health, industrial safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations.
