Key Responsibilities of a Degree College Sports Teacher
Physical Education & Training
Conduct regular physical education and fitness sessions for students.
Develop students physical fitness, endurance, strength, agility, and sports skills.
Train students in various indoor and outdoor sports.
Sports Team Management
Identify talented students and select college teams.
Provide coaching and training for inter-collegiate and university-level competitions.
Coordinate participation in university, state, and other sports tournaments.
Sports Activities & Events
Plan and organize annual sports meets, athletic events, tournaments, and competitions.
Conduct regular sports activities and encourage maximum student participation.
Coordinate sports-related activities during college events and celebrations.
Sports Facilities & Equipment
Maintain sports grounds, courts, gymnasium, and other sports facilities.
Maintain proper records of sports equipment and ensure their secure usage.
Raise requirements for recent sports equipment and facility improvements.
Student Development & Safety
Promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
Ensure proper warm-up, safety measures,



and first-aid arrangements during sports activities.
Monitor students during training and competitions.
Administration & Documentation
Maintain records of student participation, attendance, achievements, and certificates.
Prepare sports calendars, activity reports, and documentation required for college/NAAC purposes.
Maintain records of sports expenditure, equipment, and inventory.
Coordination
Coordinate with the Principal, Physical Education/Sports Committee, departments, and student representatives.
Liaise with universities, sports associations, and external coaches/officials when required.
Coordinate transportation, accommodation, registrations, and other arrangements for competitions.
Promotion of Sports
Encourage students, including women students, to participate actively in sports.
Conduct awareness programmes on fitness, wellness, and healthy lifestyles.
Identify opportunities for students to participate in higher-level competitions.

Key Performance Areas: Student participation, sports achievements, effective coaching, maintenance of facilities, successful conduct of sports events, and proper sports documentation.
