Role & responsibilities
Inspection of heavy structural steel fabrication and welding activities.
Ensure compliance with EN 1090-2 EXC3 requirements.
Review and verify drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements and quality requirements.
Inspection of material receiving, traceability, cutting, fit-up, welding and dimensional control.
Review WPS/PQR/WPQR and welder qualifications as per applicable EN ISO standards.
Coordinate and monitor NDT activities VT, MT, PT, UT and RT as applicable.
Verify NDT reports, procedures, personnel qualifications and acceptance criteria.
Inspection of surface preparation, blasting, painting/coating and DFT.
Raise and close NCRs, punch points and quality observations.
Prepare and maintain MIR, RFI, inspection reports, checklists, NDT reports and QA/QC dossiers.
Coordinate with Client/TPI inspectors, production, welding and painting teams.
Conduct final inspection and documentation review prior to dispatch/handover.

Preferred candidate profile
Qualification:



BE / B.Tech / Diploma in MechanicalEngineering
Experience: 810+ years in heavy structural steel fabrication and welding inspection
Valuable knowledge of EN ISO 3834, EN ISO 15614, EN ISO 9606-1 and EN ISO 5817
Experience in Welding Inspection, Fit-up & Dimensional Inspection
Hands-on experience in NDT coordination and review of VT, MT, PT, UT & RT reports
Experience in surface preparation, blasting, painting and DFT inspection
Ability to review WPS/PQR/WPQR, ITP, Method Statements and Drawings
Valuable knowledge of MTC, material traceability and heat-number control
Experienced in NCR, corrective actions, punch-list closure and final inspection
Strong capability in QA/QC documentation, RFI, MIR, inspection reports and final quality dossiers
Experience coordinating with Client/TPI inspectors, production, welding and painting teams
Positive communication, reporting and coordination skills.
