Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and other requirements of our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase raw materials, herbal ingredients, nutraceutical ingredients, packaging materials, and other factory requirements.
Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers/vendors.
Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate rates, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, R&D;, Stores, and Accounts departments regarding purchase requirements.
Maintain purchase records, quotations, vendor details, POs, invoices, and related documents.
Monitor stock requirements and coordinate with the Store Department to avoid material shortages.




Develop and maintain good relationships with existing and new vendors.
Verify material specifications and coordinate with QA/QC for quality-related requirements.
Handle supplier complaints, delayed deliveries, shortages, and material discrepancies.
Maintain proper documentation and records as per company procedures.
Support cost reduction and vendor development activities.
Required Skills
Valuable negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of procurement and vendor management.
Positive knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and ERP software.
Ability to compare quotations and prepare purchase reports.
Good follow-up and coordination skills.
Ability to work under deadlines.
Knowledge of raw materials and packaging materials used in the nutraceutical, herbal, food, or pharmaceutical industry will be an advantage.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
