GD&T; Application & Tolerance Stack/-Up Analysis/: To guarantee smooth fit, interchangeability, and functional assembly of manufactured parts, use geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards. Conduct tolerance stack/-up calculations.
Technical paperwork and Bill of Materials /(BOM/)/: Create, review, and keep up/-to/-date structural BOMs, component part lists, engineering change paperwork, material specifications, and manufacturing process notes. Engineering Change Order Management/: Process, assess, and carry out Design Change Notices /(DCNs/)
and Engineering Change Orders in a timely manner while updating master CAD databases and upholding stringent revision control procedures throughout enterprise repositories.
Required Skills/: Mastery of AutoCAD and Mechanical Design/: In/-depth practical understanding of AutoCAD 2D/3D drafting tools, sheet metal development, weldments, mechanical power transmission components, parametric design concepts, and structural layout drafting.
GD&T; & Tolerance Stack/-Up Analysis Proficiency/: Advanced ability to calculate dimensional tolerances, analyse intricate engineering designs, apply GD&T; symbols /(datums, runout, position, profile, flatness/), and conduct fitments analysis.
Design for Manufacturability /(DFM/), Design for Assembly /(DFA/), Bill of Materials management, and Product Lifecycle Management /(PLM/PDM/) workflows are all thoroughly understood. Solid practical understanding of engineering materials /(steels, aluminium, plastics, alloys/), heat treatments, surface finishes, machining operations /(CNC, turning, milling/), sheet metal bending, and welding standards is required for material selection and manufacturing process familiarity.
