Role Overview : We are looking for an experienced API Tester with strong expertise in API automation, Java, and test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should be capable of designing robust automation solutions, validating APIs and integrations, and collaborating closely with development and business teams to ensure application quality.Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and reusable testing frameworks using Java and Selenium.- Design and execute API testing and automation for RESTful and web services.- Validate API requests and responses, data integrity, business rules, error handling, and security-related scenarios.- Develop API automation using tools and frameworks such as REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or SoapUI.- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, test plans, and automation suites based on functional and technical requirements.- Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, identify defects, and perform root-cause analysis.- Track defects through resolution and collaborate with developers to ensure timely fixes and regression coverage.- Continuously enhance automation frameworks, reusable components, and test processes to improve test coverage and efficiency.- Perform database validation using SQL to verify backend data and end-to-end transactions.- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.- Work closely with developers,



business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.- Document test procedures, execution results, defects, and quality metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.Requirements : - 5 - 10 years of experience in software testing with strong experience in API testing and automation.- Strong programming experience in Java, including OOP concepts, collections, exception handling, and related programming fundamentals.- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and web UI automation.- Solid hands-on experience with API testing and automation using REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or SoapUI.- Experience with automation testing frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.- Experience with build and dependency management tools such as Maven or Gradle.- Good knowledge of REST APIs, methods, status codes, request/response validation, JSON, and XML.- Strong SQL skills for database and data validation.- Experience in developing and maintaining scalable, reusable automation frameworks.- Good understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle, regression testing, and test strategy.- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.- Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
