4 Edges is a Mumbai-headquartered design and build company, operating pan-India since 2015. We're building out a specialized design vertical for luxury bungalows, farmhouses, and agri-vacation homes, and are hiring the architect who will own this end-to-end.

Role Summary

We're looking for a Senior Architect who can single-handedly take a bungalow or agri-vacation-home project from client brief to working drawings — no hand-holding required. You'll own the design, the client relationship, and the coordination with execution teams on your projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end architectural design of bungalows, farmhouses, and agri-bungalows for vacation/weekend-home clients — concept through GFC (Good-For-Construction) drawings
- Design site planning and landscape integration — lawns, gardens, outdoor living spaces, pool/deck placement
- Run client briefing, concept presentations, and design sign-off directly, as the single point of design ownership
- Produce concept designs, working drawings, and 3D visualizations (or brief a visualization resource)
- Coordinate with structural engineers, contractors, and 4 Edges' execution team so design intent survives to site
- Navigate local development-control regulations and agricultural land-use/NA conversion norms where relevant
- Travel extensively to project sites across India for site studies, client meetings, and execution reviews
- Mentor junior design staff as the vertical scales

Requirements

- B.Arch with valid Council of Architecture (COA) registration




- 8–12 years post-qualification experience
- Portfolio showing at least 3–4 independently led bungalow/farmhouse/villa projects — not team-contributed work
- Strong grasp of both vernacular and contemporary residential design languages, with genuine landscape/outdoor-living design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD plus at least one 3D/visualization tool (SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, V-Ray, or Enscape)
- Comfortable working autonomously with minimal design supervision
- Willing to travel 40–60% of the time across India
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills

Preferred (Bonus)

- Experience with agricultural land / NA-conversion project approvals
- Passive design / sustainable residential design experience
- Prior experience designing for weekend-home or second-home clientele specifically (different brief than urban primary residences)

Location

Flexible base city; extensive travel to project sites required. Not a fixed-desk Mumbai role.

Compensation

₹22–30 LPA fixed CTC, based on experience and portfolio strength, plus fully expensed travel/site allowance.
