Key Responsibilities

- Conduct outpatient and inpatient consultations and perform detailed clinical assessments.
- Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and liver disorders.
- Manage conditions such as GERD, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, IBS, IBD, hepatitis, fatty liver, cirrhosis, pancreatitis, gallbladder and biliary disorders, and other GI conditions.
- Perform and interpret appropriate diagnostic investigations, including laboratory tests, imaging, and endoscopic procedures.
- Perform upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, biopsy, and other gastroenterology procedures as per qualification and expertise.
- Identify and manage gastrointestinal bleeding and other gastroenterological emergencies.
- Provide appropriate management of liver diseases and related complications.
- Counsel patients and relatives regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, risks, and follow-up.
- Coordinate with surgeons, radiologists, physicians, anesthetists, pathologists, and other specialists whenever required.
- Maintain accurate patient records, investigation reports, procedure notes, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure proper infection-control and endoscopy safety practices.
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions, clinical audits, and quality-improvement activities.




- Provide timely follow-up and continuity of care for patients.
- Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, ethical standards, and applicable medical regulations.

Required Qualifications

- MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine and DM/DNB in Gastroenterology or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Valid registration with the appropriate Medical Council.
- Relevant experience in gastroenterology preferred.
- Endoscopy and other procedural experience preferred.
- Good clinical judgment, communication, and patient-management skills.
